A First Rate Horror Shocker
Surprisingly strong performances and good visuals elevate this one location horror yarn about a psychopathic lawyer who takes a group of friends and co-workers hostage and tortures them into confessing their deepest darkest sins. Told from the point-of-view of one of the hostages, you feel the claustrophobia and torment like one of the prisoners as the urban terrorist executes his "game" of death, dealing out brutal violence and sexual sadism. Look for the "dream sequence" where 2 overly endowed women appear to tempt the hero. Both funny and shocking, "In A Dark Place", is not for the faint-of-heart".
