  Just watched "Lord of the Vampires" & agree with previous excited reviews. I'm no expert on technical aspects, but whatever they did it came together great! VERY atmospheric & well cast. From the moment Viktor appeared, I was hooked--absolutely riveted by Jack Wareing as the vampire lord. It's been called cheesy, (and it is,but in the coolest way) but there are some real keepers coming out of this. A mixture of classic B-horror & sick drawing room innuendo.Definitely check it out.

  If nothing else for the fact They use ABNEY Park's Music!! If you haven't heard of them check them out, They have a musky, hot, sexy sound that is a little Goth, a little punk , but definitely different. Old world sound meets modern instruments. They have a MY Space page as well as a website. It's a good old fashioned CRUNCHY Vampire movie! Seriously, This is one of those movies you kind of HAVE to see..Like a right of passage. Breakfast club, Sixteen candles, Lord of the Vampires. Ya know? Definitely a good one, Check it out. It's Sexy, really really sexy. It as the element of testosterone, high action, writhing vampires.

  I wasn't expecting much from this when I ran across a friend's DVD of LORD OF THE VAMPIRES...(but hey I'm a sucker for most all vampire flix)....But this has got to be the craziest mix of criminals,vampires sex,blood,and some excellent gore!!....The girls in this movie are petty hot and can surprisingly all manage to give good performances.I really liked the atmosphere on alot of the interior shots..it looks like it was shot on at least 16mm....and the guy who plays the VAMPIRE LORD rocks!(he doesn't work,sits in a throne,and has all the sex he wants..and still complains..lol)Seriously though if you get a chance to see this do it...I think Sub Rosa is putting it out....I give it 9 out 10 stars

• Shot-on-video vampire nonsense

  LORD OF THE VAMPIRES is a shot-on-video vampire indie flick from Los Angeles. It's really terrible, very much a poor man's Anne Rice style production, with a vampire overlord and his beautiful brides wreaking havoc down the centuries. The plot is set in the present day when the situation is complicated by mystery surrounding some new victims. It's a bargain basement production, featuring lots of unconvincing and dated sex scenes and not much else aside from a few gothic trappings. There are a few twists here and there but little to get excited about.

  I feel like the oddly glowing reviews for this movie were definitely written by cast, crew, or members of the band that was featured in this movie. Make no mistake, this is one of the worst movies ever made. In that aspect, it's incredible. If you're a fan of D or even F class horror movies that also moonlight as soft core porn, this is one of the many treats that can be found on Amazon Prime. It's shot on what I can only assume was a mini DV handicam and the audio is so garbled and wrecked that all you can hear is the very silly music. Again, I loved it.
