Shehu, a Nigerian cab driver who's had less than stellar luck with women, recently had the misfortune of picking up a woman who wasn't one at all. Out of frustration, Shehu vows to never touch another American woman again. He travels home to Nigeria to find a wife and hang up his bachelor ways. His plan is to find a nurse so she can get certified in the USA and make enough money for him to stay home and drink beer if he so chooses. When Shehu returns to the USA with a new wife and a fresh outlook on life, he didn't count on his new wife learning the ways of the African American woman. Now his wife has embraced her new-found identity, and Shehu is stuck trying to figure it all out.

A Very Distorted View of Black Americans
This movie disgusted me especially towards the end. I could not believe how distorted the Nigerian views of Black Americans are, or at least Pascal Atuma anyway. As a Black American man, I was extremely offended by the portrayal of Black Americans period. All Black Women are not loud, classless women. All Black Men are not ignorant, thugs without decency and respect. Just because the media and television airs the negative group, the version the world sees does not represent all of us. What annoyed me the most was how the summary made reference to Shehu's wife learning the ways of Black American Women. Point of correction: Not all Black Women act "ghetto". Second, please cast a Black Woman to portray the negative stereotype of women in her group. By that I mean, do not get a White woman to portray the so-called Black American Woman. Pascal Atuma and others were totally out of line to cast a White woman as representing the Black woman. The actress's role was very disrespectful to Black Men, Black Women, and Africans in general. She cursed one of the main characters out. Calling him MF's and making comments such as African boy, you need to take a shower and use some deodorant. The height of it all was when Shehu was arrested for beating his wife by a White male cop that was slapping him in the head. I don't fault the characters, I fault people like Pascal Atuma and other Africans that have a warped view of Black Americans. There are many respectable and intelligent ones still around in spite of the negative view many foreigners hold of us. This movie was a total disgrace!!!
Hilarious!
This movie is fun. No other way to put it. The characters are hilarious! There was another review that stated how disgraceful the movie is, but any and all movies are going to hurt someone's precious feelings. Take this movie for what it is - entertainment - and let go of your own insecurities. Laugh 'til you cry and then move on to the 2nd part. The whole movie is over the top exaggerations.Especially Shehu. However, there are so many parts of the movie where you find yourself agreeing with the characters. Don't take this as a drama, you must go in knowing this is a comedy. So laugh, be happy, and enjoy yourself, as intended.
