• Worst movie ever

  The entire movie was absolutely horrible! The acting was elementary and I had to literally eat candy to stay awake. I thought it was a joke at first but no, someone actually thought it was worth putting on the DVD! I rather stand on nails barefooted than watch another second! Now I have to think of ten lines in order to alert other viewers! Well here goes the best ten lines of my life! Don't watch it. Don't waste your money! You will be very disappointed. The title itself leaves you to assume it's like the original version but it's nothing like that. I'm not sure what the plot was or the intention of the director but it left you completely baffled. The actors seem to be very blend! Almost as if they were reading from a script. Overall the movie and plot was a total disaster. Don't waste your time?

• Horror movie that is uninteresting and not scary

  This is easily one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Outside of you or I creating a horror movie it doesn't get any worse. Prayers in the Dark is very boring and slow paced even at only 1 hour 16 minutes. I would avoid this unless you are willing to give any horror movie a chance. There is a scene where I'm not sure if the actor forgot his lines or his character really needed to write down what he needed to say on paper. I'm not an expert on camera work but constantly framing subjects from mid-forehead to slightly below the chin did not work on close-ups. The movie is not scary and the dialogue is extremely boring and uses scripture or other officious sounding language that I'm not sure even the writers know what it means. The best part of the movie as an Arizonan was listening to the characters pain of the Dodgers losing to the Diamondbacks in 2011 on a walk-off grand-slam. Why this of all things was used as a metaphor for divine intervention is beyond me.

• The armor of God

  Three guys who are not overly religious perform exorcisms while smoking cigarettes and dropping F-bombs. Then in a warehouse they get to exorcize Mr. S trapped in a 20 year old female because we would much rather see them tied up. This was a low budget film with light dialogue at times. It is told confusingly with flashbacks for no apparent reason, other than the fact grown up film makers do that. I liked the characters, but the whole film was about extending out this one exorcism as much as possible. F-bomb. no sex or nudity.

• Entertaining and Enjoyable

  I just watched "Exorcism: Prayers in the Dark" and I have to say it was entertaining and enjoyable. It had a good moments, actions and suspense. I have been a fan of horror movies all my life and there have been really bad ones and there have been really great ones. This one is somewhere in the middle. The story is about a demon hunter who meets a father whose daughter is possessed by a demon. He enlists the help of a few other demon hunters to rid this girl of her possession and darkness ensues. People might try to compare this to movies like "The Exorcist" but I think it's a different style all together. The movie reminds me more of "Supernatural" or "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Watch it and enjoy it!
