Country escape
"Heaven is still far away" is the literal translation of the title. This is a typical Japanese country movie about reason for living. The protagonist is a woman who went to the countryside to commit suicide. Unknowningly to her, there was a famous suicide spot nearby. There, she meets a man, who doesn't seem to care what happens to her at first, but eventually gives her hope to live on. Katou Rosa was really good in this movie, and was easy to connect. Tokui Yoshimi of the popular Japanese comedian duo "Chuutoreal" acted surprisingly well in serious scenes while being funny when necessary. This movie doesn't really stand out, but the story is inspirational and overall a soothing movie.
