The Forgotten Father (2008) Reviews
A Solid Drama
The forgotten Father is an urban drama that I got the chance to see when it won for Best Feature Film at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival in 2009. It's a really good movie that shows how far a father goes in order to be with his son. The story is unique and true. The drama is real. And the performances are really moving. Nick Simmons does a great job but I particularly liked the performances of the the little kid and the mother's thuggish boyfriend. I think the movie dwells on a subject matter that resonates with everyone because of the times we live in. There's always some unwanted son or some forgotten father out there. It's a really good film. Definitely worth the watch.
